OUR VISION
Traverse Wine Institute was founded with one simple goal in mind: to help people fall in love with wine. We offer masterclasses from expert wine professionals, blind tasting coaching, trips to wineries, and world renown qualifications, Traverse Wine Institute provides an inclusive community of wine lovers. Whether you're a beginner just starting to explore the world of wine or a seasoned sommelier, Traverse Wine Institute has something to offer everyone. We are committed to helping our students learn and grow in their lifelong journey of wine.

Blind Tasting
Blind Tasting is an amazing way to train your personal palate and assess wine to find out what qualities you personally love about a wine. This is an approachable way to build your wine vocabulary, and try new wines. The blind tasting socials are curated selection of four wines that are of region/varietal typicity to help you identify personal tasting notes, structural elements and overall quality of wine. These will be regular monthly, with specific themes each gathering. Perfect for beginners learning how to taste, as additional training leading up to an exam, or for wine professionals that want to keep their blind tasting skills topped up!
Every 1st Wednesday of the month, $25 dollars for a drop in or purchase 5 and get the 6th free. Limited participants, hosted at Lake District Wine Company.
Masterclasses & Organized Events
Our wine masterclasses are an excellent way to enhance your studies or learn more in depth about specific wine topics. Led by wine professionals, they offer more specific learning experiences on focus topics from particular grape varieties, winemaking, viticulture, regions or wine business.
We also offer exclusive trips to wineries and tastings of select wines. Additionally, organized wine events such as special dinners and wine tastings, will be offered to students. These events are a great way to meet local wine professionals and experience the culture of the local wine region.
